Late 90’s I bought a blue 4 door 1986 Dodge Colt turbo for $60, yes $60. Marker lights wouldn’t go off so I’d have to unhook the battery at the end of the day. Otherwise the car ran and drove good and yes it could accelerate really good. Then one day I was looking over it and found lots of rust under the A pillars on the drivers side. I drove to a body shop and a guy looked at it. He told me that in a front end collision that the front of the car would just fold up and he urged me to park it, which I did. I removed the bucket seats and a few other parts and got a salvage yard to take it. I had two red 1988 Plymouth Colts also.

MPG can be irrelevant in a PHEV, what's important is the EV driving abilities. Like how is the EV mode for power and what is the battery range ? That is the only reason for buying one is it can be charged and driven without using gas. If someone isn't charging it and only worried about MPG makes more sense to save $4000 and buy a non plugin hybrid.

I'll take the former, properly-proportioned and far more elegant 1992 model. But that disgusting, underpowered Chevrolet V-8 engine in a Cadillac was a complete disgrace. No Thanks. They truly stopped building real Cadillacs with real Cadillacs engines a long long time ago. $36,000.00 in 1993 for a Cadillac powered by a Chevrolet engine. You have got to be out of your mind.

Sugar-coated words for automotive turds. These abominations to motordom caused Cadillac to immediately lose more than 60% of it's market share. These horrendous sub-compacts nearly killed Cadillac because of GM chairman Roger Smith. Forbes voted him as one the worst executives in America. My God these cars were so hideous.

In line 6 cylinder engines are the best type of layout, smoothness, ease of maintenance, room to work, simpler design. I am not necessarily saying this one though. I would have gone with a larger displacement, about 4.0 or 4.5 litres, high compression like 12.0 : 1 even if it achieved 350 horsepower and 300 pounds feet of torque. More reliable, longer lasting and as everyone knows, once those turbos start spinning, there goes your fuel economy. Bragging be damned.

If i was looking for a mid size truck I'd compare the Tacoma with a Nissan Frontier. Then I'd look for an older Tundra with the V8. From there I'd make my choice. Probably go with the Tundra so I wouldn't care if it got scratched. It's a truck, you haul crap and it gets war wounds. Get over it. Lots of choices out there, no need to spend 60k. Be smart and remember it's just a truck and not some wood polished French museum piece.

The updating for the electronic 30 positions suspension, that updates 1,000 times a second to keep the car flat in the corners, was not quite ready for the first year model in 2016, so as Lexus always does, they left that off until 2017 and on, when it was ready for prime time. Germany and Detroit have completely different philosophy and implantation for innovations like that, they put it out there anyway and recall or fix the there new cars, just so they can say they were first with something. Lexus insists on reliability first, not bragging about something that really doesn't even work year. I hate the idea of being on the side of the road in any vehicle, so I also prefer the Lexus attitude over 90% of the other car companies. This guy talking is a car salesman, not an engineer, so when he tells you, you need to be careful not to spin the tires, no you don't, computers on this care are perfect for handling it's power and cornering, you never feel like losing control with this car. Nothing breaks on there, so if you can find a used one, and the combination of luxury and high performance is something you might like, go ahead and include reliability, You'll soon see nothing combines all those like the GSF, I recommend skipping this 2016 model for the much improved suspensions of the later years. You will smile every time you crank up that V-8, sounds great and is the smoothest running V-8 every made.
